GCC FMs hold meeting in New York
New York, Sept 24, 2008 (WAM) - The Foreign Ministers of the GCC countries held meeting Tuesday on the sidelines of the United Nations 63rd General Assembly Session. Foreign Minister H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan attended the meeting.
The meeting was headed by Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Mahmoud, Qatari Minister of State for Foreign Affairs.
Abdul Rahman bin Hamad Al Attiyah, GCC Secretary General, said the ministers tackled during the meeting ways to coordinate stances in the forthcoming discussions with their counterparts from the United States, China, Russia, European Union and the ASEAN countries.
"The discussions will cover political, economic and commercial relations, as well as issues relating to sustainable development and climate change," Al Attiyah added.
