MALAYSIA, SINGAPORE CAN PLAY KEY ROLE IN DEFENCE INDUSTRY
KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 29 (Bernama) -- Defence Minister Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi says he is confident that Malaysia and Singapore can play a key role in the defence industry.
He said on Thursday that both countries can produce defence products with the Asean brand not only for the regional but also world markets.
“We will be able to produce an Asean brand name in defence in the near future,” he told a press conference after receiving his Singaporean counterpart Dr Ng Eng Hen at his office here.
Dr Ng said Singapore is committed to enhancing warm relations between the two countries, and expressed hope that interactions between their arm forces could be increased.
