FIRE AT SINGAPORE REFINERY PUT OUT, SAYS SHELL

SINGAPORE, Sept 30 (Bernama) -- A fire which broke out at the Shell refinery on an island off Singapore has been extinguished, the company said in a statement.

The fire occurred on Wednesday at the refinery located on Pulau Bukom, five kilometres away from Singapore.

Shell said its global fire consultants were at the site.
