Hamdan bin Zayed named winner of Medical Science Award
Dubai, Sept. 25, 2008 (WAM) - The board of trustees of the Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Award for Medical Sciences has named H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister '&' Chairman of the UAE Red Crescent Authority as winner of the 5th cycle of Hamdan Award for Volunteers in Humanitarian Medical Services.
Sheikh Hamdan was selected in appreciation of his efforts to improve humanitarian and medical conditions inside and outside the UAE.
The board also announced Abdul Rahman Mohammed Hassan Sewar Al Dahab, Chairman of the Islamic Call Organisation in Sudan, as winner of the same award.
The announcements were made last night by HE Humaid Al Qattami, Minister of Health '&' Chairman of the Board of Trustees and members of the Award's General Secretariat during a press conference.
