Imam Reza (AS) festival of visual arts underway in southwest Iran
TEHRAN,Oct.2(MNA)-- Shiraz is playing host to the 8th Imam Reza (AS) national festival of visual arts that opened on Thursday.
Artwork in the forms of painting, poster, miniature, illumination, sculpture, installation, and gol-o-morgh -- a unique style of Persian painting featuring bird and floral motifs in different colors- are on display, director of Fars Department of Culture and Islamic Guidance said.
Mohammad-Hadi Fakhraii said that most of the participants are coming from Fars, Tehran, and Khorasan Razavi provinces.
The youngest participant is 7-year-old Fatemeh Khosh-Eqbal from Shiraz, Fakhraii added.
Vesal, Sarv, Batis and several other galleries of Shiraz are exhibiting the artworks until October 6.
