Iran names team for Palestine and Bahrain games

TEHRAN, Oct.3 (MNA) -- Iran football coach Carlos Queiroz invited 22 players to the team for the friendly against Palestine and Bahrain in the World Cup qualifiers.

Wolfsburg striker Ashkan Dejagah and Osasuna injured midfielder Masoud Shojaei have been left out of the national team and Persepolis striker Javad Kazemian was added to the squad one day after the other players got call.

Iran is scheduled to play warm-up match against Palestine on October 5 in Tehran’s Azadi Stadium.

Carlos Queiroz’s men have been scheduled to play Bahrain in the 2014 World Cup qualifiers on October 11 at the Azadi Stadium.

Iran football team tops the standings in Group E of the FIFA World Cup qualifier, followed by Bahrain.
