OMAN AIR WINS BEST IN-FLIGHT CONNECTIVITY AND COMMUNICATIONS AWARD
KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 3 (Bernama) -- Oman Air has won the Best In-flight Connectivity and Communications Award at the Passenger Choice Awards.
In a statement on Monday, the airline said the Awards highlighted the aviation industry's innovation, products and services and were organised by Airline Passenger Experience Association.
"Each award is determined solely by the votes of the travelling public and voting is tracked by Neilson Co," it said.
Oman Air's chief officer, management affairs, Abdulaziz Al Raisi, said the airline was committed to being in the forefront of technological innovation within the civil aviation industry.
"We are delighted that our pioneering in-flight mobile phone and wireless fidelity connectivity has been recognised with this prestigious award," he said.
Oman Air said the connectivity services were available to the passengers throughout their flight, from shortly after take-off until the aircraft was preparing to land.
