U.S. citizens’ lawyer not arrested: Iran`s judiciary
TEHRAN, Oct.4 (MNA) – The office of the Judiciary spokesman on Monday rejected the news reports claiming that the lawyer, who had reppresented the three U.S. citizens, has been arrested.
A number of foreign media outlets recently reported that lawyer Masoud Shafiee was arrested on September 26 and briefly detained at Evin prison.
U.S. citizens Sarah Shourd, Shane Bauer, and Joshua Fattal were arrested in Iran in 2009 on charges of trespass and espionage but were later released on bail.
