Iran will not allow ties with Azerbaijan to be undermined: Iran`s spokesman
TEHRAN, Oct. 5 (MNA) - In his weekly press briefing on Tuesday , Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ramin Mehmanparast replied to a question about the news reports saying that Azerbaijani security forces attacked one of the offices of the Iranian mission in Baku three times in late September and smashed the place up and confiscated the mission’s properties.
“Iran’s relations with neighboring countries are good and friendly… and we have good relations with Azerbaijan as well, and issues which are reported should be investigated by the relevant officials, and we will not allow good relations between the two countries to be undermined.
“(However), if certain cases have occurred which go against the friendly relations, they will be pursued so that they could be resolved. Certain issues may arise regarding the offices of the Iranian mission, which will be investigated by the foreign ministries and the relevant officials.”
