Iranian photographer says majesty of blue sky fascinates him

TEHRAN, Oct.10(MNA)-- Iranian young photographer Arya Abolhassani is reflecting the majesty of the blue sky in his collection of photos on the show at Tehran’s Atbin Gallery.

A selection of 20 photos depicting the contrast between the sky and manmade structures taken from historical places in Iran, Turkey, and Georgia went on display on Friday.

The photos enjoy special views and perspectives. They are taken within three years of Abolhassani’s trips to different locations.

“I have always been impressed by the majesty of the sky. I even sit for hours to watch the sky without even noticing the time,” Abolhassani said in a press release on Sunday.

“The sky facinates me the most whenever I look at huge buildings. I have always liked highlighting this beauty and showing that these structures can only add a small amount of beauty to the magnificence of the sky,” he added.

All photos echo the natural lighting of the sky and there have been no changes or editing done to the photos.

Abolhassani is a graduate of metallurgy from the University of Saveh and has been focusing on photography for about six years. This is his first solo exhibit. He has previously taken part in several group exhibits.

The exhibition continues until October 18 at the gallery located on Khakzad Alley, off Vali-e Asr St. in the Parkway neighborhood.
