Iran`s Paykan loses to Kazan in Qatar volleyball tournament
DOHA, Qatar, Oct.10 (MNA) -- Paykan fell short against Zenit Kazan in the FIVB Club World Championship on Sunday in Doha, Qatar.
Paykan was defeated in straight sets (26-24, 25-18, 25-23) against the Russian team. The Iranian representative was defeated by Poland’s KS Jastrzebski Wegiel on Saturday.
Paykan will take on Spartans from Canada on Monday.
The FIVB Club World Championship is a volleyball competition contested between the champion clubs from continental confederations. The competition first took place in Parma, Italy in 1989.
Italy’s Trentino Diatec is the competition’s most successful team with six trophies.
