IPC to pay tribute to veteran photographer Partovi
TEHRAN,Oct.11(MNA)-- The Iranian Photographers Center (IPC) will pay tribute to veteran photographer Hossein Partovi, famous for his pictures taken during the first days of Islamic Revolution, on October 15 at Tehran’s Art Bureau.
Veteran photographers Asghar Bichareh, Hadi Shafaieh and Fakhreddin Fakhreddini were honored during the previous celebrations, IPC director Rasul Oliyazadeh said in a press conference here on Monday.
Each year, the anniversary of the establishment of the IPC is celebrated to review the positive events of the past year.
“The center invites 100 photographers every year to display their best works at this celebration, but we also decided to focus on one special theme each year.
“The exhibit this year centers on ‘seeking the expression’ in which 60 photos will go on display. Also included will be a side section exhibit where works by veterans will go on display,” he added.
Partovi, who has been sick in bed since three years ago, recorded the early events of the Islamic Revolution.
