Iranian stage greats to delight non-theatrical spaces of Theater City
TEHRAN,Oct.11(MNA) -- Stage greats will be staging performances in non-theatrical spaces of the Tehran Theater City Complex.
The cafeteria and lobby of the main hall of the complex will host performances by darlings of stage and cinema.
“The idea of performing in non-theatrical spaces of the complex was warmly welcomed by the artists and we are even planning for spring and summer 2012 performances,” Davud Ghaffari, who is member of selection board, told .
Renowned artists along with junior theater troupes welcomed the idea and the management of the complex also supports the plan, he added.
Ghaffari along with Hamid Purazari and Afruz Foruzand judge the received works and select them for performances.
Young talented directors like Ali-Asqar Dashti and Arvand Dasht-Aray along with veterans like Golab Adineh, Hedayat Hashemi, Ladan Mostofi and Afshin Hashemi will have performances at the complex.
“Each play will be performed at least for four weeks and will be extended to six weeks with the agreement of the management,” he said.
Plans are also on hand for performances on the roof and décor workshop of the complex, which will be performed in the near future, he concluded.
