Iran`s Paykan out of FIVB Club World Championship
Doha, Qatar, Oct.11 -- Canada’s Trinity Western Spartans rallied to defeat Paykan 25-23, 18-25, 17-25, 25-18, 15-6 in the FIVB Volleyball Men’s Club World Championship on Monday in Doha, Qatar.
The Iranian representative had already been defeated by Poland’s KS Jastrzebski Wegiel and Zenit Kazan of Russia and failed to advance to the next stage.
The FIVB Club World Championship is a volleyball competition contested between the champion clubs from continental confederations. The competition first took place in Parma, Italy in 1989.
Italy’s Trentino Diatec is the competition’s most successful team with six trophies.
