Iran water polo team into Asian Age Group final
TEHRAN,Oct.12(MNA)--Iran water polo team advanced to the 7th Asian Age Group Championships final in Palembang, Indonesia on Tuesday.
The Iranian outfit, which is headed by Ukrainian coach Vadim Skuratov, outclassed Kuwait 13-3 in the semifinal round. The team will play Uzbekistan who marched into the final round by beating Kazakhstan 3-0 on Wednesday.
The water polo competition will serve as the qualification tournament for the 2012 FINA World Junior Water Polo Championship which will be held in Perth, Australia.
Iran water polo team has already won the championships twice in Thailand 2005 and in Indonesia 2007.
