Iranophobia plot will fall flat: Supreme Leader
KERMANSHAH, Oct.15 (MNA) -- Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei said that the enemies’ efforts to promote Iranophobia and Islamophobia in the region are futile.
The Leader made the remarks in an address to a number of commanders and soldiers of the Iranian Armed Forces based in the western Iranian city of Kermanshah on Thursday.
Ayatollah Khamenei began a 10-day visit to Kermanshah on October 12 and was warmly welcomed by tens of thousands of people upon his arrival.
The hegemonistic powers have adopted a policy of promoting Iranophobia and Islamophobia in the region due to the increasing might of Iran’s Islamic system, the Leader said.
“(However,) the repetition of stupid and ineffective methods by hapless and distraught Western policymakers will again yield no result, and they will experience the bitter taste of defeat once again,” he added.
He also said, “The eight-year imposed war against the country and the people showed everyone that invading the Islamic Republic of Iran is costly.”
Elsewhere in his remarks, the Leader stated that the United States “is grappling with problems and stuck in quagmires which have their roots in the wrong policies and measures of the regime.”
The adoption of an arrogant and aggressive attitude will not help the U.S. extricate itself from these quagmires; rather, the solution is the approach that Iran has adopted, which is based on logic, wisdom, and spirituality, he observed.
