Nations` resistance will accelerate collapse of hegemonistic system:Ahmadinejad

TEHRAN, Oct.16(MNA) – Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said that the global hegemonistic system is on the verge of collapse and the resistance of nations will accelerate its downfall.

Ahmadinejad made the remarks during a meeting with the Sudanese president’s special envoy, Mustafa Osman Ismail, in Tehran on Saturday.

If the nations stand by each other, they will be able to stymie the hegemonistic powers’ plot, he said.

The arrogant powers are opposed to any nation which is seeking to be independent, Ahmadinejad said, adding, “However, this does not indicate their power, rather it is indicative of their weakness and desperation.”

Elsewhere in his remarks, the Iranian president commented on the relations between Tehran and Khartoum and said, “The Islamic Republic of Iran welcomes the expansion of relations between the two countries in various spheres and regard it as beneficial for the two nations.”

He also called on the Sudanese nation to remain vigilant in the face of the enemies’ plots which are meant to create division and dissension among the people.

“The vigilance of the Sudanese government and nation will foil the enemies’ conspiracies,” Ahmadinejad added.

The Sudanese envoy submitted the written message of Sudanese President Omar Hassan al-Bashir to Ahmadinejad and said that Khartoum has a positive view on the developments unfolding in the region.

He added that if nations are allowed to be truly independent, they will prevent any interference in the internal affairs of their countries.
