Iranian art students awarded at Kazakh festival

TEHRAN,Oct.16(MNA) -- Two Iranian young adults have won awards at the Central Asian Festival of Young Artists which was held in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

Artworks created Nastaran Nazari and Shamim Yusfi, students of Tehran’s Fine Art School affiliated with Iran’s Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, were selected among other works submitted by 86 participants.

Nastran Nazari’s painting in the still life section was awarded with an honorary diploma and the festival’s statue. Shamim Nazari ranked third in the sculpture section of the event.

Junior artists from different countries including Russia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan competed at the festival.

The artists’ trip to Kazakhstan was sponsored by Iran’s cultural attaché’s office in Kazakhstan.
