Iranian choir to take part in South Korean festival

TEHRAN,Oct.31(MNA) – Iran’s Mehr-e Vatan choir is taking part in the 2011 Busan Choral Festival and Competition that runs from November 2 to 5. The choir under conductor Masud Nekuii from the city of Kerman was a top selected group at the Iranian Fajr Music Festival last year. Iran is competing with choirs from Lithuania, The Philippines, Thailand, Taiwan, Czech Republic, Japan, Russia, Malaysia and China. Founded in 2004, the festival draws choirs from all over the world to provide an opportunity for participants to compare notes, collaborate and get to know one another, and learn from international conductors and groups.
