Iranian short films to compete in Spanish festival

TEHRAN,Oct.31(MNA) -- Two Iranian short films will go on screen at the Bilbao International Documentary and Short Film Festival (ZINEBI) which will be held from November 11 to 18 in Spain. “Bitter Milk” by Nasser Samimi and “Beyond Window” by Fatollah Sheybani will compete at the festival. The award-winning “Bitter Moon” narrates the lives of Afghan families who are going to the Pakistan border with their infants as a result of the bombardment of war-torn Afghanistan. The film received First Prize at the 6th Pentedattilo International Film Festival and also Special Mention at 8th Sedicicorto International Film Festival(Forli) in Italy, 2011. The Bilbao International Festival of Documentary and Short Films is recognized as an international event of a competitive nature by the International Federation of Associations of Film Producers (F.I.A.P.F.). The festival has been held in Bilbao since 1959. Screenings of the official selection take place in three categories: documentary, fiction and animation. Films and video productions entered for the competition may last no longer than 45 minutes.
