Iran produces games on war
TEHRAN,Nov.1(MNA) -- The Iran National Foundation of Computer Games unveiled four computer games on the 1980-88 Iran-Iraq war during a ceremony on Sunday.
The games “Alvatan Battle”, “Breaking the siege of Abadan”, “Battle of Kheybar” and “Partisan” are on the Iran-Iraq war known as the Sacred Defense in Iran.
The games are cosponsored by the Art Bureau, which is affiliated with the Islamic Ideology Dissemination Organization (IIDO).
The ceremony was attended by the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Seyyed Mohammad Hosseini, IIDO Director Seyyed Mehdi Khamushi and Iran National Foundation of Computer Games Director Behruz Minaii.
At the ceremony Oveys Mirza Qeytaqi, Mohammadreza Mahdavi, Mohammareza Baqi, and Farshid Rahimi were honored for their product “Alvatan Battle”.
“Alvatan Battle” describes braveries of the martyr Mahmud Kaveh and his comrades who fight against counterrevolutionaries in the Alvatan Mountains located in Kordestan province during the Iran-Iraq war.
Game Developers Hamid Qaderi, Seyyed Majid Jalalian, Morteza Abbaszadeh, Mohammad Salemian were honored at the ceremony for “Breaking the Siege of Abadan”.
The game narrates the siege of Abadan by Iraqi forces during the war. However Iranian forces did their best to break the siege and finally, in 1982 during an operation called “Samenolaemmeh” they attacked to the positions of the enemies and occupied them.
“Alvatan Battle” and “Breaking the siege of Abadan” are produced by the Tebyan Nur Cultural and Information Institute.
Afterward, the officials recognized Nader Lotfi, Alireza Sholevar, Mohsen Farsi, Babak Marzi and Maryam Lotfi for their product “Battle of Kheybar”.
“Battle of Kheybar” portrays a group from the Iranian army named Azarakhsh during the Iran-Iraq war in 1984 that recovers data from a physical clue remaining from incidents that happened in the past. The game is produced by the Vijeh Pardaze-e Pars.
The game developers of “Partisan”, Reza Rafiei, Majid Barzegar, Vahid Barzegar, Kamran Heydari, Milad Qiassi, and Mohammad Salemian were honored at the event.
“Partisan”, produced by Takin Bazi Nama, is about an Iranian military force passing through a city in a truck, when suddenly they find that the city is occupied by the Iraqi army.
A severe conflict starts and the truck explodes, so all the troops inside it are killed but one of them called Hossein jumps down from the truck and survives. His mission starts from there. Finally, Hossein finds his comrades and they are able to free the city after an intense battle against the Iraqi forces.
The “Black Gold” and “Speed in City” are other computer games which will be released in the near future, Minaii announced.
