Iranian football player fails doping test

TEHRAN, Nov.1(MNA) -- Iranian Zob Ahan’s goalkeeper Abbas Ghasemi has been banned by Anti-Doping Committee of Iran Football Federation after testing positive for a illegal substance. Ghasemi banned for two-year after testing positive for a prohibited substance, head of Iran Anti-Doping Committee Ahmad Hashemian said on Monday. The 29-year-old player currently plays for Iran Professional League Zob Ahan team. Ghasemi tested positive for 19-norandrosterone, which contains nandrolone, an anabolic steroid, according to Hashemian.
