Malaysian Medical Graduates Top Indonesian University

Ahmad Fuad Yahya JAKARTA, Nov 4 (Bernama) -- Medical graduates Dr Mohd Zafrullan Zamberi and Dr Muhammad Nasum Abdul Kuthosee of Malaysia emerged as the top students among the latest batch of medical graduates from Universiti Kristen Krida Wacana (UKRIDA) here. They respectively occupied the first and second spots from the three recipients of the Cum Laude Awards of the university for outstanding graduates with Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.5 and above in their studies. Dr Mohd Zafrullan completed his studies with a CGPA of 3.58 while Dr Muhammad Nasim obtained a CGPA of 3.54. The third recipient was an Indonesian who obtained CGPA of 3.51. As outstanding graduates, both students were given the honour of heading the list of 120 UKRIDA medical graduates in the appointment as doctors by the university recently. A total of 26 graduates from Malaysia took their oath as medical doctors at the ceremony. Dr Mohd Zafrullan described his success as proof that Malaysian graduates could succeed anywhere and he was grateful to be able to complete his clinical studies and training successfully here. "The experience in clinical training at the hospital here greatly benefited us as we were allowed to treat patients, conduct minor surgery and even in baby delivery as well as other practical training," he said. -- BERNAMA Malaysia
