Singapore Mosques Collecting Funds For Thai, Cambodian Flood Victims

SINGAPORE, Nov 4 (Bernama) -- The Singapore Mosque Committee is making effort to raise funds to assist flood victims in Thailand and Cambodia. Donation boxes will be placed at all 69 mosques throughout the republic to raise funds for victims. The boxes will be placed in the mosques from this Friday till Nov 10 and will be marked "Singapore Muslim Community's Special Collection For Humanitarian Relief Effort in Cambodia and Thailand". Proceeds will be donated to Mercy Relief which is delivering help on the ground to affected victims, reported local television Channel News Asia. Cheque donations can be made payable to "RLAF" with the words "Humanitarian Relief Effort in Cambodia and Thailand" to be delivered to the MUIS Building at the Singapore Islamic Hub, No. 273, Braddell Road Singapore 579702. -- BERNAMA
