Survey for the railway in second part completes

(KPL) The National Railway Organisation has completed the primary survey for the railway in the second part stretching from Thanaleng Warehouse, Hadsayfong district, to Ban Khamsavath, Saysetha district, Vientiane.
Deputy Director of National Railway Organisation Mr. Sonesack Noryansana, said last week confirming the primary survey was economically beneficial.
The organisation will probably detail design in a few months.
“It is expected that the detail design, which costs almost 2.8 million US dollars, will be financed by the French government,” said Mr. Sonesack.
“Now we are asking the French government to support the design, which will take one year, and then we will mobilise fund to inject into the construction,” he furthered.
The organisation will have its second running trial by the end of next month and it will last till March in which a permanent running is scheduled.
The trial will have only four bogies each can have 45 passengers but at present the relevant authorities have said the addition of one more bogy is necessary.
Anyone who want to take the train from Nongkai, Thailand, to Vientiane have to pay 11,250 kip (50 THB, Thai currency) but they have to take other public transports to reach Talat Shao as the train will stop at Thananleng.
The National Railway Organisation had its first running trial in July this year.
