Trilateral summit in New York on January 22-24 "last chance", says Turkish Cypriot President Eroglu

LEFKOSA (A.A) - Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) President Dervis Eroglu said Saturday that the upcoming trilateral summit in New York on January 22-24 would be "the last chance" for Cyprus and the United Nations. Speaking to reporters while receiving a delegation from the Municipality of Kepez, Antalya, Eroglu said that he believed there could be a path to an agreement at the New York summit in January. "Whether or not we will reach an agreement is yet to be seen," Eroglu underlined. A strong motherland (Turkey) gives us Turkish Cypriots strength at the negotiation table, Eroglu added. President Eroglu and leader of the Greek Cypriot administration Demetris Christofias will meet on January 3 and 9 prior to the New York summit.
