19 teens dead in Tanzania disco stampede
At least 19 teenagers and children died during a stampede at a disco organised to mark the end of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan in Tanzania, reports said.
The BBC, quoting police officials in the Tabora region of northwest Tanzania, said
the stampeded occurred on Wednesday night after "a commotion in the disco".
Those killed were aged between 12 and 17, police said.
Others are being treated for injuries and an investigation has been launched.
