Laos-Singapore to further co-operation on youth development

(KPL) A Youth Challenge Organisation of Singapore will help Laos to develop its vulnerable youth.
The statement was released during the courtesy visit to Mr. Vilaivong Bouddakham, Deputy Secretary – General of Central Youth Union of the Singaporean Youth Challenge led by Mr. Jeyaraj Benjamin William, Ambassador of Singapore to Laos.
During the talks, Ms. Ruby Chan, Director of Youth Challenge informed Mr. Vilaivong on the activities of her organisation in Laos which is aimed to develop the vocational skill for Lao youth, especially vulnerable youth.
The Youth Challenge of Singapore is now helping Laos through one organisation of France and is building a vocational training center in Savannakhet province, which is expected to be officially opened soon. The center will be opened to help the vulnerable youth, particularly women who was a victim of human trafficking.
On this occasion, Mr. Vilaivong expressed thanks to Singaporean Youth Challenge for its great need to help Laos and hoped that the co-operation plan will be further discussed by two sides in the near future.
