Turkish Airlines cancels 118 flights due to bad weather conditions

ISTANBUL (A.A) - February 2, 2012 - Turkish Airlines (THY) cancelled on Thursday 118 domestic and international flights from Istanbul's Ataturk Airport due to bad weather conditions. Many flights in international lines including Brussels, Hamburg, Hannover, Berlin, Venice, Geneva, Oslo, Lyon, Madrid, Lefkosa, Milan, Tirana, Tbilisi, Nurnberg, Sarajevo, Almaty and Odessa as well as flights to Elazig, Adana, Denizli, Kayseri, Erzurum, Kahramanmaras, Sivas, Agri, Mugla, Antalya, Izmir and Ankara in domestic lines were cancelled. Also, London-Istanbul flight of British Airways was cancelled mutually.  Many regions of Turkey have been seeing heavy snowfall which came with the Siberian cold wave since the weekend.
