Emaar to showcase US$100b global portfolio at Cityscape
Dubai, October 4, 2008 (WAM) - Emaar Properties, one of the world’s largest property developers, is highlighting its presence at Cityscape Dubai 2008 with a never-before global portfolio.
Exhibiting projects from nine of its key global markets including Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Syria, Jordan, Morocco, Turkey, Canada, India and Pakistan, for the first time ever, Emaar will present projects of over Dh367 billion (USUS$100 billion) in development value at the premier property expo to be held at the Dubai International Convention Centre from October 6 to 9.
Complementing the company’s largest-ever participation in Cityscape Dubai — in terms of the number of countries and projects showcased — Emaar will be introducing the ‘Speakers Zone’, a special on-stand initiative where senior management representing the company’s local, regional and international markets and businesses will address exhibition visitors on their respective developmental strategies. Presentations include community and sustainable development initiatives of the company in addition to in-depth presentations on Burj Dubai and The Dubai Mall.
With its strong development portfolio across 36 key markets internationally, Emaar currently leads the region in terms of international projects. In all its markets, Emaar adopts its integrated neighbourhood development approach of building holistic communities featuring educational institutions, retail outlets, community centres, healthcare centres and hospitality & leisure projects.
At Cityscape, in addition to exhibiting sought-after developments in developed and emerging markets, Emaar is also underscoring its commitment to Dubai as a sustained growth market by highlighting its path-breaking projects in the emirate and the UAE.
Alongside, globally renowned projects like Burj Dubai, the world’s tallest building, and The Dubai Mall, Emaar also reiterates its growing role in leading regional collaborations, most notably, the 70 million sq ft Asmaran mixed-use community developed by Emaar Bawadi.
Ahmad Al Matrooshi, MD, UAE, Emaar, said: “As the pioneer of master-planned communities in Dubai, Emaar Properties has been at the forefront in shaping the property sector dynamic of the UAE. In less than ten years, Emaar has established itself as the thought-leader in property development, and is today, sharing its expertise with global markets. We are also asserting our strategy of creating integrated communities in all our growth markets.”
