Najjar: Highest Turnout In Elections Registered In Kohkiloyeh, Boyer Ahmad Prov.

Tehran, March 4, IRNA - Interior Minister Mostafa Mohammad Najjar said on Saturday that the people in Kohkiloyeh and Boyer Ahmad province had a highest turnout in parliamentary elections held Friday. About 88 percent of eligible voters in Kohkiloyeh and Boyer Ahmad province took part in the ninth parliamentary elections and cast their ballots, registering a record high in the country, Najjar said. In Tehran province some 52 percent of eligible voters cast their ballots and the share of people in Tehran, Rey, Islamshahr and Shemiranat constituencies iwas about 48 percent, he said./end
