The Circle Conference kicks off in Abu Dhabi
Abu Dhabi, Oct 7, 2008 (WAM) - The second edition of the Circle Conference - an annual event devoted to film financing, production and showcasing regional film industry talent from across the Middle East - kicked off yesterday at Shangri La Hotel in Abu Dhabi.
The Circle is one of the most important film initiatives in the region, and hosts The Circle Conference and Interactive Media Exhibition (IMC) from 6 to 11 of October.
The opening session was addressed by media moguls and film making personalities including the Chairman of 20th Century Fox International, who stressed the importance of collaborations in the field of movie production.
Adrienne Briggs, Director of The Circle, explained that The Circle is an initiative established by the Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage (ADACH). In the evening session, ten most talented directors in the Middle East film industry will be introduced to the conference.
