15,101 UXO AND MINES DEMOLISHED IN SEPTEMBER
Baku, 07 0ctober ,(AzerTAj) - Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) cleared the territory of 1 million 695 thousand 875 square km of 15.101 UXO and mines in September, 2008, press service of the Agency said.
Reportedly, the operations involved 339 sappers, 5 UXO operators and 30 mine
detection dogs.
Up to now, the territory of 75 million 109 thousands 944 square km have been
cleared, and 343 thousands 932 mines and UXO have been neutralized.
Today, mine clearing works underway in the territories of Tartar, Agdam, Fuzuli,
Goranboy, Khojavand, Agstafa regions and Garadag district of Baku.
