Department of Planning and Economy to host Abu Dhabi Conference
Abu Dhabi, Oct 8, 2008 (WAM) - Abu Dhabi will host the fifth successive Abu Dhabi Conference from 9th to 10th October at the Emirates Palace Hotel.
The major conference aimed at highlighting the vast investment opportunities in the emirate of Abu Dhabi is organised in association with the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ADCCI) and MEED, the business information specialist and organiser of premier conferences and networking events.
Announcing the event at a press conference yesterday, the Undersecretary of the Department of Planning and Economy Mohammed Omer Abdullah said that the conference will shed light on the future shape of trade and investment in Abu Dhabi emirate. The conference will also project the pioneering role of Abu Dhabi in the avenues of property development, building infrastructure, clean energy and sustainable development.
The two-day event will also focus on the major transformations the emirate is witnessing, its new vision of integrated development, the privatisation and the partnership between public and private sectors, he added.
The event will bring under one roof 500 individual and institutional investors as well as galaxy of decision makers from around the world.
The press conference was also attended by Assistant Director General of for Trade Relations at ADCCI Rashid Al Qubaisi and MEED's Edmund O'Sullivan.
