FOOD QUALITY AND SAFETY ASSURANCE PROJECT NEXT STEP IN AZERBAIJAN-EU COOPERATION
Baku, 08 0ctober ,(AzerTAj)The project “Provision of food quality and security and support to certification of fish products in Azerbaijan” is the next step in the county’s cooperation with European Union, Niyazi Safarov, Azerbaijan’s Deputy Minister of Economic Development said at the project’s presentation ceremony on Tuesday.
According to him, the project envisions institutional capacity building for
regulation of fishery products and aquaculture, training of inspection and testing
staff, strengthening laboratory services, more effective control over food quality
and safety, regulation of export of fish and fish products to international markets
as well as establishment of world-class laboratories.
