Haze situation improving in Thai North

BANGKOK, March 28 (TNA) - The haze situation in the Thai North has been gradually improving and is expected to clearly relieve by next week. Thai Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Yongyuth Wichaidit told journalists of the positive development on Tuesday, saying that dust particles in the country's northern region which have exceeded the standard level of 120 microgram per cubic metre of air have kept reducing. Yongyuth, however, urged local authorities to carry on their public relations campaigns to create proper understanding among local people against outdoor fires or wildfires and their negative impacts, in parallel with law enforcements. The deputy premier also suggested that the local authorities continue to coordinate with neighbouring countries to jointly solve the haze problem, which, if so, should clearly ease the thick smog in the Thai North by next week.
