World Houbara Conservation Fund takes part at International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition
Abu Dhabi, Oct. 10, 2008 (WAM) - World Houbara Conservation Fund is showcasing its efforts in preserving falconry heritage during participation at the International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition-Abu Dhabi 2008.
The fund plans to support all the initiatives aiming at doubling numbers of houbara in the wild in future, including the reproduction efforts in captivity being exerted by the National Avian Research Centre in Suwaihan, as well as other similar centres in Morocco, North Africa and Asia.
The fund reiterated in a statement it will encourage protection of houbara from extinction in all their natural habitats through encouragement of houbara pedigree reproduction. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
