Major Cleric Urges 5+1 Group to Behave Logically

Tehran, April 28, IRNA --- Tehran Substitute Friday Prayer Leader Ayatollah Kazem Seddiqi said here if the Group 5+1 shows logical behaviour in nuclear talks, the outcome will be good for all. Addressing thousands of worshipers at Tehran University Campus, Ayatollah Seddiqi added Iran supports logic and negotiations and had many times shown its good intention in nuclear talks and now it is their (5+1 Group) turn to show their good intention. Referring to recent Istanbul nuclear meeting, Ayatollah Seddiqi said the meeting showed the power and dignity of Iranian nation and was the outcome of people’s resistance and following the Supreme Leader’s guidelines. “Istanbul meeting showed that Iran is powerful and will never give up its rights on nuclear issue,” the Ayatollah said. Elsewhere in his second sermon, Ayatollah Seddiqi referred to some baseless claims on the Persian Gulf and said hegemonic powers have always been trying to create disunity in this region but Iranians and all other vigilant nations of the region won’t listen to them. On Bahrain, Ayatollah Seddiqi said in spite of indifference shown by certain international organizations and regional governments, great resilience demonstrated by people of Bahrain thwarted all plots of the Bahrain regime. He referred to recent positions taken by Amnesty International and United Nations Secretary General against the brutality of Bahrain regime and emphasized that eventually the efforts of people in Bahrain will bear fruit. On Azerbaijan Republic, Ayatollah Seddiqi referred to some trips taken by certain officials of Zionist regime to that country and warned the officials of Azerbaijan Republic to be aware of their own nation’s opposition to the Zionist regime./end
