Journalist Asks West To Quit Biased Attitude Toward Iran
Islamabad, May 2, IRNA – A senior Pakistani journalist on Tuesday asked Western states to quit biased policies towards Islamic Republic of Iran and respects Iran’s right to peaceful nuclear technology.
Talking to IRNA Asma Shirazi said that Iran is a major country and cannot be isolated by building pressure.
She described resumption of talks between Iran and 5+1 group as a major development adding that the dialogue should be constructive and result orientated.
Iran is to meet representatives P5+1 group, comprising the five permanent UN Security Council members plus Germany, in Iraq’s capital for the second round of talks which were revived this month in Istanbul.
Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi has said that, “the Istanbul talks were a success and we hope that the Baghdad meeting also will be a success, and if we took one step forward in Istanbul surely, with God’s help, we will take several steps ahead in Baghdad.”
Asma Shirazi expressing her views said that the resumption of the dialogue has shown to the world that Iran is flexible and ready to solve all issues with West peacefully. “The dialogue has also given a sigh of relief to the regional states,” the analyst added.
She said Iran has been able to convince the world that it is developing a peaceful nuclear program and they have no plans to make nuclear weapons. “Dialogue is the only way to solve problems,” the journalist strongly believed.

“Iran is our neighbor and we respect Iran’s right to develop peaceful nuclear technology,” she said. “We need countries like Iran,” opined the analyst.
The journalist said that West has to quit biased policies towards Iran. “Today there is resentment by the public in western states against the biased attitude towards developing countries,” she pointed out.
