UAE rescue team in Afghanistan help victims, train local Afghan team
Abu Dhabi, Oct 12, 2008 (WAM) - The UAE rescue team led by Lt. Colonel Mohammed Abdullah Al Nuaimi, head of the team, arrived in Afghani province of Brown, 70 miles away from Kabul.
The team visited the Red Crescent Authority office and Jarikar hospital, where the doctors offered medical services at the emergency and intensive care units. They pledged to train the local staff on how to deal with crisis and emergencies.
Charge d' Affairs of UAE Embassy to Afghanistan Mohammed Ahmed Osman, received the UAE rescue team at arrival at Kabul Airport.
