Iran FM, Palestinian Official Warn About Enemy's Divisive Plots

Tehran, June 26, IRNA – Iran’s Foreign Minister Ali-Akbar Salehi and Secretary-General of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) Maher Taher warned Muslims here on Monday about divisive plots of the enemy. “Spread of the Islamic Awakening in the region will isolate the occupying force of the Zionist regime more than ever before and help boost the Palestinian holy ideals among regional nations and states,” Salehi said in the meeting. He noted that supporting Palestine is the unchangeable principle of Islamic Republic's foreign policy. “Tehran’s support for Syria is because of resistance of Damascus against the occupying force of the Zionist regime.” “Iran is against any kind of foreign interference in Syria and supports reforms and the resolution of this country’s political crisis through negotiation between the Syrians themselves.” Iranian FM added that all regional countries should be vigilant about the Zionist regime and the arrogant powers’ plots who want to deviate the revolutions and provoke sectarian, religious division among them. Secretary General of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine for his part praised Tehran’s support for the Palestinian nation. “PFLP supports resolution of the Syrian political crisis through national dialogue and rejects outside interference in this region; Syria's presence in the resistance line against the occupying force of Zionist regime should be advocated.” The official warned the Muslim nations about the plots hatched by the enemies who are doing their best to weaken the resistance line./end
