Three Iranian Oil fields In Completion Stage

Tehran, June 27, IRNA -- The plan to develop oil fields of Cheshmeh Khosh, Sarvestan and Saadatabad are almost in completion stage, Managing Director of Iranian Central Oil Fields Company Mehdi Fakour said on Tuesday.
Fakour said the plan shows 97 percent progress. The oilfields will be fully operational once project for construction of two reserves are completely finished.
He said Cheshmeh Khosh field will yield 180,000 barrels a day. Some 90,000 bpd will be added to the refining capacity of the field’s oil output, raising the total amount of processing to 180,000 bpd.
Cheshme-Khosh field, located 70 kms west of Andimeshk and 80 kms southeast of Dehloran in Ilam Province, costs more than rls 102 billion plus euro 6.2 million.
As for developing Sarvestan and Saadatabad oilfields, he said, they will be on production cycle by September.
The two fields will run with early production capacity of 15,000 barrels per day by the next three months.
He said that three oil fields located west of Iran including Cheshmeh Khosh, Sarvestan and Sadat Abad are passing the final phase of pre-launching preparations.
He said development of Cheshmeh Khosh oil field goes ahead rapidly.
Fakour further said that the project had made progress by 97 percent and will come online concurrent with launching two storage tankers.
Development plan of Cheshmeh Khosh Unit for boosting processing capacity of the oil produced in west of the country to 180,000 bpd is ready for commissioning.
He added the company plans to inject associated gases of the oil fields located west of the country to Cheshmeh Khosh oil field to enhance recovery rate.
''Each day 60 million cubic feet of associated gases will be gathered to be injected to Cheshmeh Khosh oil field to make up for falling pressure in the oil field’s reservoir."
Cheshmeh Khosh oil field as the first oil field ICOFC plans to inject gas to boost production is located 80 kilometers from Dehloran City in Ilam province west of Iran.
Fakour said Sarvestan and Saadat Abad oil fields would also come on stream up to the end of September 2012, expressing satisfaction with development operations in the field.
"In Iranian month of Khordad, began 21st May, these two projects progressed by seven percent which is a record."
He said that early production from Sarvestan and Saadat Abad oil fields would start with 15,000 bpd in next three months.
Up to now 10 oil wells have been drilled in Sarvestan and Saadatabad while another two wells should be drilled for gas injection.
Saadat Abad and Sarvestan oil fields are located 90 and 110 kilometers south west of Shiraz. Having 1.4 billion barrels of in place oil reserves the two fields cover an area approximately 242 square kilometers./end
