Lao-Thai discuss railway running
(KPL) Representatives of Laos and Thailand met this week in Nongkai province, Thailand, on running railway between Vientiane of Laos and Nongkai in Thailand, which is 3.5 km long.
Let both delegations of the meeting were the Deputy Head of the National Railway Organisation, Mr. Sonesack Nor-yansana, and the Deputy Head of the Railway Authority of Thailand, Mr. Thong Mark.
Both sides discussed transport fares, identity cards of Lao and Thai railway officials and the allocation of ticket selling agents.
The Thai side said that it could not open running trial as scheduled 23 October because it faced technical problems, while the Lao side confirmed its readiness for the trial.
