ADCCI joins GCC e-commerce portal
Abu Dhabi, Oct 16, 2008 (WAM) - Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ADCCI) and the Federation of the Gulf Cooperation Council Chambers of Commerce and Industry signed in Dammam an agreement for developing and managing an e-marketplace services portal (Abu Dhabi e-commerce marketplace), an ADCCI press released said yesterday.
Sealed by ADCCI Director General Mohammed Rashid Al Hamili and Secretary General of the GCC Federation Abdul Rahmin Naqi, the five-year agreement allows diverse operations ranging from selling, buying, auctions and tenders to trade negotiations between individual investors and companies within the GCC member states and abroad through the e-trade exchange portal.
The release stated that the GCC body would upgrade and update the commercial and administrative network of the portal for commercial purposes.
''Under the agreement, the GCC Federation pledges to give members and partners of the ADCCI easy access to the GCC e-portal against approved financial returns and offer impart training as well as technical and technological support to ADCCI employees, ''the release explained.
