Kuwait Ambassador presents credentials to President

(KPL) President Choummaly Sayasone of the Lao PDR yesterday morning received at Presidential Palace, Hor Kham, credentials from H.E Mr. Hafeez Mohamed Salem AlŒAjimi as the new ambassador of Kuwait to Laos.
During the talks, the Lao President expressed his congratulations over the appointment of the new ambassador of Kuwait in Laos and wished hi, success in his mission here, which will contribute to expanding the ties of friendship and co-operation between Laos and Kuwait. He also hoped that the mission here of the new ambassador would encourage the bilateral discussion and provide the support to each other in the regional and international stages including the assistant co-operation to promote the investment in Laos.
On this occasion, the new ambassador expressed thanks to President for his warm welcome and confirmed that he would do his utmost to further strengthening the diplomatic relation and co-operation between Laos and Kuwait, especially the co-operation in the fields of economic, trade and investment.
Laos and Kuwait established the diplomatic relation on 14 July, 2008 and since then the sides has started to provide the assistance to each other in many sectors including the signing of co-operation agreement on trade, economic, investment promotion and prevention. In addition, the Kuwait government has provided a grant aid worth US$ 6 million for renovation of the National Assembly and to build the government guesthouse.
The Kuwait ambassador has his residency in Bangkok, Thailand.
