Emirates flight makes emergency landing in Perth
Dubai, Oct 17, 2008 (WAM) - An Emirates Airline jet made an emergency landing at Perth Airport in Australia Thursday after a burning smell was detected on board.
Emirates flight EK425 carrying 120 passengers from the Western Australia city of Perth to Dubai returned to Perth and touched down without incident about two hours after takeoff. Contrary to the reports carried by the media, there was no smoke in the cabin.
Emirates Airline said safety of passengers is top priority, adding that investigation is underway to establish cause of the burning smell. – Gulf News
