Commander: Iran's Armed Forces To Quell Any Foreign Threat

Tehran, Sept 3, IRNA – Commander of the Islamic Republic of Iran's Army's Khatam al-Anbia Air Defense Headquarters said that the country's Armed Forces have vast defense capabilities so that they can quickly respond to any possible threat posed against the country. Brigadier-General Farzad Esmaili said that Khatam al-Anbia Air Defense Headquarters has been set up to give crushing response to any possible threat posed against Iran. Brigadier-General Esmaili made the above remarks among foreign military attaches in Iran who were invited to a ceremony held on the occasion of air defense day. 'The air defense headquarters has the message of peace, friendship, tranquility and security for all freedom-seeking, independent and friend countries. It is a warning for all enemies of Iran,' he added. Brigadier-General Esmaili noted that Iran is a big, vast, powerful and independent country and Iranian nation with its long history can greatly influence resolving the regional and international issues. Iran's military doctrine which is based on noble Islamic teachings and the Islamic Republic's Constitution is purely defensive and there is no place for aggression, brutal killing and plunder of the wealth of nations in Iran's military doctrine, the commander concluded./end
