Prince Salman graces closing ceremony of World Sight Day 3 Riyadh

In an address, Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz expressed appreciation for
the intensive efforts exerted for combating blindness.

"In recognition of the Kingdom's role in fighting blindness, the
Kingdom was awarded the prize of the international partnership by the
international agency for combating blindness, " he said.

Prince Salman reiterated that the state is keen on supporting all
efforts that aim at the service of the citizens and the entire
mankind.

He praised the efforts exerted in this respect by Prince Abdulaziz
bin Ahmad bin Abdulaziz, the Health Ministry and the National
Committee for Combating Blindness.

Prince Salman hoped that by 2020 the Kingdom and other fraternal and
friendly countries would be free from causes of vision disability.

He urged the citizens to extend support to the national programs
which are concerned with the awareness of all with means of
preserving eye health and safety.
