US Sacrilegious Movie Condemned Widely In Pakistan

Islamabad, Sept 15, IRNA -- Protests to condemn the United States sacrilegious movie against Holy prophet Mohammad (P) were held across Pakistan on Friday.
Central Anti-United States rally was organized by Majls-e-Wehdat Muslimeen in Islamabad. They demanded the government to immediately expel the US Ambassador from Pakistan and cut the diplomatic ties with United states forthwith.
The US and Zionist regimes flag were also burnt in the rallies. The participants were carrying banners and placards inscribed with different slogans against the US and Zionist regime.
A 14-minute trailer for the video titled “Innocence of Muslims,” was uploaded on the internet depicting Holy Prophet Muhammad (P) in a derogatory manner.
In Islamabad the rally started from Ansa Ashri Imambargah and ended at D chowk in front of Pakistani Parliament.
The protestors held US and Zionists responsible for the film adding that the purpose of making the movie is to hurt sentiments of millions of Muslims across the world.
Speakers addressing to rally said that US and Zionist regime are behind all conspiracies against Muslims and the movie is part of that conspiracy.
They said as the US government had failed to take any action against US Pastor Terry Jones that is why he made the film.
They said that the incident offended sentiments of Muslims across the world.
Talking to IRNA Allama Ameen Shaheedi, Deputy Secretary General Majlis Wehdat Muslemeen (MWM) said the objective of the protest is to condemn the United States sacrilegious movie.
He said that Muslims will not forgive those who are responsible for the heinous act. He said that people of all Muslim countries want their governments to put pressure on US for taking action against the culprits behind making the film.
Replying to a question MWM leader said that they have no plans to march towards US Embassy, however he said that on September 16 a rally would be held in Karachi towards the US consulate in the provincial capital.
Meanwhile Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Pakistan has also organized a protest in Lahore. Addressing a rally the JI leader Sayed Waseem Akhtar strongly condemned the making of anti-Islam film.
Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi Amir Muhammad Hussain Mahenti addressing a gathering in the port city said that the movie has hurt the feelings of millions of Muslims.
Imamia Students Organization (ISO), Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD), Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) and other religious outfits also observed the protests against the United States sacrilegious movie against Holy prophet Mohammad (P).
The protest demonstrations were also observed in all the major cities of Pakistan./end
