MLSW receives 550 wheelchairs

(KPL) Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare (MLSW) received 550 wheelchairs, worth US$35,000 from the Christian Broadcasting Network and Operation Blessing in Laos, on 17
October, at the MLSW.
The aid was handed over by the National Commission Secretary Unit for Disabled People, and representative of the Christian Boardcaseting Network and Operation Blessing Ms Gillian Chong to Ms Bouaphan Lykaiya, Head of Retire Department and Disabled People that witness by Mr Laoly Faipheangyoua, the Acting Minister of Labour and Social Welfare, Singaporean Ambassador to Laos, Mr Jeyarj Benjamin William, and the deputies and head of departments, a number of disabled people attended.
This is the third time with the aim to help disabled people in seven provinces nationwide.
The project is an importance and necessary for disabled people that they can use wheelchairs into livelihood activities. The aid was to contribute to the socio-economic development.
